Course Description
Every restoration begins long before a handpiece touches the tooth. The Restorative Continuum™ Framework connects the biologic, adhesive, biomechanical, and restorative decisions that shape treatment—from diagnosis through definitive restoration and long-term maintenance. Grounded in contemporary scientific evidence and peer-reviewed research, this full-day seminar gives participants standardized clinical pathways for simplifying treatment planning, strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration, and improving restorative predictability.
Participants will explore evidence-based principles for direct posterior composite restorations through the Atlas-Sadr Composite Workflow System™, including preparation design, adhesive selection, matrix management, composite placement, polymerization stress management, finishing, polishing, and occlusal refinement. The PRENDO™ Clinical Pathway examines restoration-driven endodontics, with particular emphasis on preserving the bonding substrate, protecting tooth structure before and after endodontic treatment, sequencing care, and creating a strong adhesive foundation for the definitive restoration.
For structurally compromised and endodontically treated teeth, the ATLAST™ Reconstruction Pathway addresses assessment of remaining tooth structure, ferrule development, biomechanical risk, fiber post selection and placement, core build-ups, precision preparation, conventional and digital workflows, restorative material selection, adhesive cementation, and long-term maintenance. Through clinical cases, microscope videos, and digital workflows, participants will learn practical, evidence-based strategies they can immediately apply to preserve tooth structure, improve efficiency, and achieve more predictable long-term outcomes.

About Our Speaker
Alan Atlas, DMD
Dr. Alan Atlas has maintained a full-time private practice in Philadelphia for more than 30 years, specializing in esthetic and comprehensive restorative dentistry. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, he serves as Clinical Professor in the Departments of Endodontics and Preventive & Restorative Sciences and as Director of Restorative Microscopy. His teaching and research focus on precision restorative dentistry, dental materials, ceramics, CAD/CAM technology, implants, and microscope-enhanced clinical techniques.
An internationally recognized lecturer, researcher, inventor, and author, Dr. Atlas is known for translating scientific evidence into practical strategies clinicians can apply in daily practice. He holds multiple dental-industry patents, including the ATLAST Post System and a technique designed to improve the placement and longevity of posterior composite restorations. He serves as Clinical Associate Editor of Quintessence International and is a recipient of the Penn Dental Medicine Alumni Award of Merit.
